Volunteering Week – Thank you from IEEE Victorian Section

In UPLINK

This week recognises the hard work, dedication and passion of volunteers Australia wide.

The National Volunteer Week was established in 1989 and is the largest celebration of volunteers and volunteerism in Australia, and provides an opportunity to highlight the role of volunteers in our community and to say thank you to the more than 6 million Australians who volunteer.

IEEE is a leading authority in technical areas, ranging from computer engineering, biomedical technology and telecommunications, to electric power, aerospace and consumer electronics, among others. IEEE is a non-profit technical professional association of more than 420,000 members in 160 countries worldwide.

With this week in mind, the IEEE Victorian Section would like thank all of the current and past volunteers within our section for their immense contributions to the advancement of technology for humanity.

And we’re counting on you to take us to the next level. Become a volunteer today, and help us shape Victoria, Tasmania, Australia and the world of tomorrow! Be proud of your contributions to society and I hope that you have found volunteering to be as rewarding as I have.

Sincerely,

EC-signaturered

Dr. Eddie Custovic

Chair, IEEE Victorian Section 2016-2017
