Welcome to the Antennas & Propagation / Microwave Theory & Techniques.
The Chapter is represented by:
Chair: Enn Vinnal
Vice-Chair : Les Davey
Vision – Our vision is to promote the objectives of the society in Victoria trough networking, presentations, workshops, conferences and publications. Our focus is on the extensive support of our students, young professional and professional members in their career.
Objectives – The Society’s objectives are scientific, literary, and educational in character and is focuses on the theory and applications of radio-frequency as HF, VHF/UHF, microwave, millimeter-wave and terahertz. They can be guided-waves and wireless as well.
MTT-S Field of Interest – focuses on the theory and applications of electromagnetic waves and apply to nanostructures, integrated circuits, multi-circuit assembly, components, transmission lines and effects of electromagnetic energy to name some.
It also includes the interaction & interface of microwave signals with digital & optical circuitry & interconnecting transmission media. Examples include optical waves in suitably confined structures, as well as the applications of acoustic, magnetic, & plasmonic waves to microwave systems.
AP-S Field of Interest– antennas, including analysis, design, development, measurement, and testing; radiation, propagation, and the interaction of electromagnetic waves with discrete and continuous media; and applications and systems pertinent to antennas, propagation, and sensing, such as applied optics, millimeter- and sub-millimeter-wave.
