Annual Report to Region 10 Meeting - Celebrating 25 Years

The last 12 months have been a great success due to collective efforts by volunteers in the IEEE Victorian section executive committee, Chapters, Women in Engineering (WIE), Graduates of the last Decade (GOLD) and Student branches. There were 50+ events successfully ran across the section chapters in addition to other activities such as Chair visits to University and Industry functions. The section has continued its support for conference bids in the state of Victoria and support for competitions ran in University departments to raise the profile of the IEEE in Engineering and other Technological advancements. A good number of our members are involved in IEEE conferences; journal and magazine paper reviews and many are continuing to be on conference organizing committees whereas others are volunteering to be technical session chairs. There is a continuing united front to foster the membership recruitment drive from new graduates and practicing professionals who may not be aware of the IEEE activities in the state and at an International level.
