Abstract:
Wanted: great engineers to become inspirational leaders.
...is this you?
- Have you been promoted to a leadership role but feel unprepared?
- Are you lacking confidence in your ability to transition into management?
- Is a leadership role the next step in your career progression and you need to be ready?
- Are you looking for some tips and tools that will take you from being a competent manager to an admired leader?
A study of 1000 managers demonstrated less than 10% of their weekly activity was spent on leadership, 30 to 40% was spent on management, but over 60% was spent on operational and technical activities.
It is increasingly normal for engineers and technical professionals to be elevated into management roles, often early in their careers. Without training, support and coaching, many will fail.
Don’t fail to prepare for leadership success!
